About the Teacher

On entering peri-menopause, Lucinda embarked upon a personal enquiry into the cyclical nature of womanhood as part of her spiritual practice. The concept of the ‘Moon Retreat’ was born out of several years of taking time out each month – initially in a friend’s caravan.

Through journalling and charting her cycle, as well as reading many inspiring books on women’s health and spirituality, Lucinda began to see patterns emerging as well as an understanding of how the spiritual journey of the yogi reflects the journey within at the time of menstruation.

After going on a Vision Quest and reading about ancient feminine wisdom traditions, Lucinda continued to refine her monthly practice of retreat as part of her spiritual life.

Incorporating her knowledge of Yoga, Buddhism and Ayurveda, Moon Yoga events offer an insight into the different phases of a woman’s life – how by gaining a greater understanding of these phases we can enjoy the gifts of womanhood and bring greater harmony.

Over the last 10 years, Lucinda has led workshops, given talks and run weekly classes for women. She is a senior YAP Registered Yoga Teacher, Bach Flower Registered Practitioner and has completed 100 hours training in Ayurveda and 10 hours on Women’s Hormones with Dr Claudia Welch.
